Who's a goofball? This gal.
Turns out that trait has become a valuable asset in my career as a Kindermusik Educator. My life has been filled with, perhaps even guided by, my relationship with the performing arts. My youth included dance and choir and performing at any opportunity, and as an adult, I've been a dancer, actor, singer, choreographer, piano player, director and producer... ok... and occasionally, a seller of blue jeans, and a server of food & drink. ;o) That's life as an artist, right there!
When little man Jack was born, I was over 40: what they called a "mature mother"... I'd had a "geriatric pregnancy". It was a dramatic change of seemingly Shakespearean proportions! But, as changes usually turn out to be, it was an unbelievable gift.
I still perform - currently singing, playing ukulele and percussion with a 7-piece jazz ensemble called ALL(most)JAZZ and rocking the basement (and sometimes a party or local pub) with my love and the dudes in The Hacks. But, rather than deliver Levis or nachos, I am privileged enough to take my goofiness into the studio and fly and bounce and twirl and stomp with the wee-est of artists!
I consider it an honour and a privilege to have families share their time with me and have been wholly blessed with the experiences I've had since Jack & I enrolled in our first Kindermusik class in 2007.
Come to Kindermusik! Be goofy! Allow your inner child to play alongside the child with whom you hold hands, read stories, build castles & kiss goodnight. You will definitely be glad you chose to do so.
